Northern Lights Kit for Women: Maximum Warmth for Extreme Cold — $58/Day
Winter in Alaska is as exhilarating as it is challenging. The Northern Lights Kit is our warmest package, built for women who will spend long stretches standing outside in temperatures from -20°F down to -40°F. It's designed for aurora viewing, Fairbanks travel, Arctic excursions, trips to remote villages, winter photography tours, and volunteering on the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

What's in the Kit
- Helly Hansen Women's Senja Winter Parka. A warm, insulated parka from a trusted cold-weather brand, made for long, still hours outside under the northern lights. Tip: the Senja has a slimmer fit, so if you plan to wear a fleece jacket underneath, choose one size up.
- Refrigiwear -20°F Insulated Softshell Snow Pants. Insulated softshell pants rated to -20°F, with a stretch waist for comfort and room for a base layer underneath.
- Gordini Women's Polar Down Winter Gloves. Down-insulated gloves for maximum warmth when you're standing outside in extreme cold.
- Baffin SnoGoose Winter Boots. A tall women's boot rated to -40°F, with waterproof protection, dependable traction on snow and ice, and a removable liner you can dry overnight. Tip: the SnoGoose runs small, so order one full size larger than your normal shoe size.
- Yaktrax Adventure Warmer Pack. Hand and toe warmers for an extra boost on the coldest nights.
Parkas come in sizes XS through 4X, snow pants in XS through 5X, and gloves in S through L.
Convenient Gear Management
Your kit comes packed in an easy-to-carry duffel, and we make pickup and return simple no matter where your Alaska adventure takes you.
- Starting in Fairbanks and Ending in Anchorage:
- We'll ship your gear to your Fairbanks hotel five days before your arrival.
- Return it to our downtown Anchorage store, or we can pick it up from your hotel for $20.
- Starting in Anchorage and Ending in Fairbanks:
- Pick up your gear at our downtown store, or we can deliver it to your hotel for $20.
- We provide a prepaid shipping box and tape so you can drop your gear off at the post office near Fairbanks International Airport, 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, AK 99709.
- In Fairbanks the Whole Time:
- We'll ship your gear to your hotel five days before you arrive, and you return it using the prepaid box at the post office at 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, AK 99709.
- On a Collette Guided Tour in Fairbanks:
- Leave your gear duffel with your guide, and they'll return it to us in Anchorage.
